Survey after survey cites the top reasons for relocation or assignment refusal as: 1) family concerns, 2) employee career aspirations, 3) partner’s career, and 4) quality of life in the new location. TalentMobility® identifies and addresses all of these concerns upfront to help turn what would otherwise be a refusal into an accepted offer.
Pioneered by Vandover, TalentMobility® is an online self-assessment, paired with one-on-one coaching. It is specifically designed to help the candidate evaluate important family, lifestyle, and career concerns as they relate to the proposed relocation or assignment.
Each candidate completes a detailed survey to assess the six most impactful factors to mobility:
- Relationships
- Lifestyle
- Location
- Family finance & legal
- Employee career
- Spouse/partner career
Each candidate’s assessment is then paired with one-on-one coaching and research to help eliminate perceived obstacles uncovered in the results–often eliminating pre-conceived notions about a location or move that would otherwise have caused them to decline.
In the end, the candidate is able to confidentially identify and address his or her concerns upfront, significantly decreasing the possibility of a failed or declined relocation or assignment. The organization receives summary trends and demographics reporting on their employee population, including metrics to help strengthen future mobility programs, policy, and strategy.
